Is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
This is a blog hop for bloggers to get to know other bloggers, & to help some gain more of a following and support system for their blog. It looks like it should be a lot of fun. To join in, go to the host's page and follow the steps they have posted up there. =D
This week's question is...
What book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?
YA Paranormal... definitely.... lol, just jking.... Um (thinks for a second), I guess I would have to say memoirs, classics and horrors. Not all Classic books, but I tend to like the movies that have been created based off the Classic books like... (Pride & Prejudice, etc.). As for horror books, I have a hard enough time watching horror movies there would be no way I could read about it (got a weak stomach sometimes). And as for memoirs (especially ones done by famous people) I see enough about their life's on T.V. I don't need to read about your life's (unless it's Robert Pattinson, lol).
What genre of book do you avoid?

Hey Cassie, thanks for stopping by the blog. Memoirs by famous ppl usually look stupid, Snooki has a book?!?! *gags* have a great weekend ;)
Tristan @ Reads With Wreckless Abandon
None of those genres appeal to me much either
Thanks for stopping by Book'd Out earlier!
Shelleyrae @ Book'd Out
I can do a memoir about an interesting person. But there are so many uninteresting people out there writing memoirs...

I tend to stay away from memoirs as well. :) I mean, I haven't read many, but I don't think I'd like 'em too much unless I'm super interested in that person. Classics are also kind of boring, but I think it's good to read through them at least once! Nice answer!
Sounds like we have pretty much the same taste! I don't like horror, westerns, classics or nonfiction!

Memoirs- depends on the person, for me. And horror books, I cannot read!

@Tristan: Yea I can't believe she has a book as well. That or the numerous memoirs out there for the 'Kardasians'. Eck. I really liked your blog. =D Thanks for the comment back.
@Shelleyrae: I think I am really picky now a days when it comes to the books I read. I really ONLY read YA paranormal. It's all I'm really into right now.
@Leah Marie: I guess if it's someone I'm really interested in it I could read it (ex. Robert Pattinson, lol). But most, I just have no interest in. I will take a look at yours now. =D
@Kat: There are some classics that I want to read. But for some reason I just never get them. Eventually I hope to get to some of them, to see what it is that made them so popular to begin with. & thank you.
@Dead Trees & Silver Screens: Yep, I don't enjoy any of those. They would put me to sleep or simply gross me out, too much.
@Ajoop: That is true and yea my stomach is to weak for horror books. Thanks for the follow I will check yours out now.
I have to say, the same genres you listed are usually the ones that don't appeal to me much as well. If I read a memoir, it has to be really good and about a really interesting person.
As far as horror, I'm the same way as you - hate most horror movies and so don't really want to read horror either. :)
This is a great feature and I'll join up next week.
@Yelena: I tend to be pretty picky (and one minded) when it comes to what I read now a days. I mainly only read YA paranormal, Dystopia, or Paranormal books. It's about all that interests me right now.
Definitely leave me the link to your FF next week, so that I can check it out. =D
Oh I'm with you on all of the above! I can read the classics every once in a bit but really have to be in the right mood for them.
I'm a new follower :)

@Red: Yea, classics can be really hard to get into. I'll check yours out now. Thank you for your support. =D
I'm kind of the same about horror. If I say blood then I can expect to feel ill and, if there is a lot, I will definitely throw up.
But no classics?!?! Classics are amazing it think, but then I said paranormal so maybe that's fair. I don't hate paranormal, but I'm more picky about it. I do like Warlocks and Witches!
@Alex: I love my Paranormal books. So we disagree on that issue. But horror definitely just isn't my style. Eck. I can watch the movies (just barely sometimes), but I would never read the books.
