Follow Friday (28)

Is a blog hop hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This is a blog hop for bloggers to get to know other bloggers, & to help some gain more of a following and support system for their blog. It looks like it should be a lot of fun. To join in, go to the host's page and follow the steps they have posted up there. =D

This week's question is...

What hyped up book was worth all the fuss?

The two books that immediately pop into my head when thinking about this question are The Vampire Academy series and The Hunger Games series. Let me look at my read list and see if I can find any more...... [runs to look].... looks at her goodreads read list [runs back].... Um so some other books are....

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand
First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones
Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning

&& that's about it for me.... Those 5 books were definitely worth all the fuss they have gotten. =D

What books do you think deserve all the fuss?

@Amy: Yes they were. I have been wanting to re-read the VA series, but I just don't have the time. Eck, I am so behind on my reading as it is. I hope that I am able to re-read it sometimes soon. =D

@Amanda P: LOL.... Yea, but the question for this week was either a hit or miss. Either the book was worth it in your opinion or it wasn't. So I definitely think there will be some books that keep showing up in the answers. Thanks for the follow. I will follow back now. =D

@Aditi: They are both great books. I am sure that you would enjoy them. =D

@Escapism Fanatic: I totally agree.

@Michelle: THG was a great series. You should give VA a shot. You may end up enjoying it. lol

@Book Blogger Mom: Definitely try them. It is one of my favorite series. I am following The Bloodlines series now, which is the spin off series of VA.

@Liesel: I will have to keep updated on that then, to see when you finally read the VA series and see what you think about it. =D

@Megan: LOL... It's okay, I do the same thing on occasion. It is a great series after all.... I am a complete Peeta fan. =D

@Alison: Heck yea. I definitely agree. Angels books for me are either a hit or miss. Unearthly was definitely a hit. I haven't been able to read Hallowed yet, but I can't wait to get my hands on it.

@quinnsbooknook: You definitely should. The VA series is amazing. =D

@Ashtyn. That is great. There are still 5 more books in the VA series though. It's a long series to get through (albeit not as long as say HP) but still definitely worth it. =D

@BLHmistress: I only picked up that series because it got such high reviews from one of the blogs that I really follow. So I definitely wanted to give it a shot and I am glad that I did. I am sure you would enjoy it as well. =D

@Heather: You should definitely give the VA series a shot whenever you get the chance. =D

@Alex: I haven't even finished all the HP books. I got through the middle of book 4 and ended up stopping reading them. I think I am more a fan of the movies then I was the books, because back when the books came out I wasn't as devoted a reader as I am now. And when I read the books I realized how much the movies left out and it kinda made me frustrated with the movies. So I stopped reading the books because the HP movies are some of my childhood (and still today) favorite movies. =D

@Sydney: Sorry I missed your comment. It was marked as spam for some reason so I just saw it and unmarked it. Yea, Unearthly is definitely by far my favorite angel book series. I am sure that whenever you get a chance to read it you will love it. =D
