Nobody said love was perfect...

Roman Draganesti is charming, handsome, rich...he's also a vampire. But this vampire just lost one of his fangs sinking his teeth into something he shouldn't have. Now he has one night to find a dentist before his natural healing abilities close the wound, leaving him a lop-sided eater for all eternity.

Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan, either. After witnessing a gruesome murder, she's next on the mob's hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral, because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Roman's fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman from using his fangs on her?

Review:

How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire sounded soooo interesting. As did the concept behind the book. A Vampire with a broken fang seeking out a Dentist who could fix it for him and them ending up falling madly in love with one another. It was a concept that I hadn't read about before. So I was fairly interested in reading this one, despite the negative reviews it had gotten.

Unfortunately, this book was just okay for me. There really wasn't anything about it that stood out. That popped. That gave me the crazy urge to keep reading long into the night.

The characters were okay. The plot line and speed behind it were okay. Overall... it was okay.

Shanna Whelan is a dentist, who's afraid of blood and who also happens to be the target of the Russian Mob. But there's a lot more behind the story then what there first appears to be. Shanna is a lot more special then even she knows. And you can thank her Vampire hating dad for that.

Roman Draganesti is a Vampire, with a broken fang. He's also a man who's unknowingly searching for the right woman. Despite the harem of woman already at his disposal and the vows he took as a monk a few hundred years ago.

Both of these characters are definitely full of contradictions as well as being perfect for one another. But they have to learn how to over come both family and personal problems before they can learn to let their love for each other show and to be happy together. I enjoy the characters, even if they did fall a little on the flat side throughout a lot of the book.

I have to say, however, it wasn't really the characters that had me... just not enjoying this read as much as I had hoped I would. It had more to do with the romance. I have recently found myself more interested in Adult Paranormal Romances, because I have needed some steamy love between the two main characters (I know, I'm a perv... lol). How to Marry a Millionaire Vampire just didn't deliver this for me. I started reading this one right after I had finished Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian and in that book, there was at least 3 (if not more) different steamy love scenes between the two main characters. In this book, there was barely one and it wasn't until close to the end of the book. I found myself going crazy. I needed some more steamy, that Ms. Sparks just wasn't delivering for me.

I will be continuing with this series, it is on my list of "Adult Paranormals" to read. I am just hoping the series gets more interesting (with some steamy in it) as it goes along. Here's to keeping my fingers crossed.
