About Me

The face behind The Anfractuous Bookaholic:

Hi!!!! I am horrible when it comes to writing about myself, but I will give it a shot here. =D

I am a 31-year-old lover of books who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona. I have lived in 3 different states just this year. If you couldn't tell I love to travel. I have always been obsessed with anything to do with History, Europe & Japan. I wish I had been born in England. Queen Elizabeth (the first) has always been my biggest role model (ever since I could remember). I have 1 dog who I love to pieces even though they can drives me crazy most of the time. I graduated from Glendale Community College on August 2011 with my Associates in Arts. I am currently attending Arizona State University (ASU). I am majoring in Classical Civilizations with a minor in Anthropology. I hope to one day be an author myself. Besides reading, writing has been the one thing that has stuck with me since I was a little girl and it is something I have come to find out that I am actually pretty good at and love to do. I am slowing learning Japanese, and yes, it is a difficult language to learn (especially for native English speakers).

Things I love:

Collecting book marks and birthday cards. French fries. English accents. Green Bay Packers. Reading (obviously, lol). Writing. History. Making people laugh. My doggy (Kyo). Travelling. Going to the movies with friends. Vampires/Faeries/Witchs, etc. (Paranormal in general). Sweet Tea. Kissing in the rain. Mythology. Anime. Blogging. And so many other things...

Things I Dislike:

How there's not enough hours in a day. Traffic. Cliff hangers. My job (sometimes). Waiting (lol). Anchovies. Orochimaru. Bugs. Scary movies (even though I still watch them xD). Being sick. Bills!!!

Creation of The Anfractuous Bookaholic:

I created The Anfractuous Bookaholic on November 2011 and while it has had a name change and a face lift since, it's essence has remained the same. I originally created it because I had no friends who loved to read as much as I do (or the same genre). Basically I was lonely and wanted to find someone to talk to about all the books I loved. My dad was starting to get tired of hearing about my ramblings, lol. To this day he is one of my blog's biggest fans. However, running this blog has become something so much more. I have been able to meet amazing people, connect with some amazing authors, throw awesome giveaways for all of you and so much more. Running The Anfractuous Bookaholic has become one of my favorite things to do. I don't see myself stopping any time soon.
